The song "Long Forgotten Sons" to me, is about a number of things. "Far from home on a road unknown where the vultures circle on winds that blow from northern skies that haunt these waking moments." Tim is talking about how soldiers are sent overseas(Far from home on a road unknown) and face unpredictible dangers from the terrorists.(Where the vultures circle on winds that blow).
The chorus," We are the long forgotten sons, and daughters that don't belong to anyone, And we are alone under this sun, as we work to fix the work that you've undone." This talks about us as the rising generation, having to work to fix the many problems that our predecessors have left us.

The song "Satellite" to me, is about living life to the fullest. "Your can't feel the heat until you hold your hand over the flame, you have to cross the line just to remember where it lays" says that we need not worry about what MIGHT happen, but we should worry about what did NOT happen, because we were afraid to cross the line.
