"We are the ones in competition, but claim this ain't no race." This portrays America's self believed superiority over the rest of world, which is why most of them hate America. Rise Against is from Chicago, Illinois, and was formed in 1999. Their latest album, Endgame, focuses more on enviromental and political issues such as natural disasters with "Help Is On The Way" and bullying with "Make It Stop". The band members themselves also set a good image, they are all vegan/vegetarian, all straight edge other than the drummer, and actively support animal rights and promote PETA with the band. The song "Ready To Fall" spins a tale of how badly animals are treated before they are butchered for their meat, it shows factories where this happens.
